Look for these signs you may need brake replacement:
- If your brake pads have less than ¼ inch thickness remaining, they need to be replaced.
- Check under your parked car for puddles of brake fluid.

- Screeching when braking: Most brake pads have a small metal shim called an indicator that causes a loud screech, warning you that it is time for brake service.
