Cooper Tires Unveils Revolutionary Discoverer A/TW

Offering uncompromising all-terrain performance in any season, Cooper has launched its most cutting-edge light truck/SUV tire yet – the Discoverer A/TW. Following on Cooper’s proven technology for the best-selling A/T3, the new winter-traction, all-terrain tire boasts a combination of design innovations and advanced compound technologies.

2014 was Cooper’s centennial year – an appropriate time to introduce such an exciting product. Following hot on the heels of the Discoverer family line-up, the A/TW will far exceed the expectations of drivers who are looking for a diverse, all-year tire.

Twin tie-bars and computer optimized pitch sequence are incorporated in the new Cooper tires to provide exceptional control and handling on highways and roads. These features also add hydroplane resistance and stability for wet conditions; plus, they reduce in-vehicle noise. Moreover, off-road driving is supported by cut-and-chip compound additives and chevron grooves that complement the tread pattern to keep the tires moving steadily through loose soil, rocks, sand and mud.

At the beginning of September 2014, these premium severe-weather Cooper tires became available in 23 sizes for light trucks and SUVs. In the spring of 2015, more sizes will be added.
