There are some of us who take exceptional pride in what we drive, making sure to get an upgraded model every few years. There are those of us who make it a point of pride to be driving the same car we drove in college! • Oil, oil, oil. This is a car care tip for anyone and everyone- make lubrication and oil your car’s best friend! Cars are mechanical, and like all things mechanical, rely on oil and lubrication to stop metal from rubbing on metal. Changing your oil on a regular basis and keeping all other systems well-lubricated can help your car run better for much longer.
• Protect the interior. Do you park in a garage or on the street? In a parking garage or lot parking? If you park outdoors, make sure you are taking care of the interior of your car. Apply protective solutions to the interior of your car and use sun shields on your windows. These act like sunscreen for your car to prevent premature aging and cracking.
• Maintenance. Don’t neglect the maintenance! Flushing the coolant system and changing the oil are inexpensive ways to get more value out of your vehicle.
